Dating: A Brief Year in Review

Dating seems like the best place to start.  I'm sure I have a lot "issues," many that are probably more concerning than my single status, but this seems to be my current focus, and it is definitely the issue I'm most comfortable talking about.

I spent some time reflecting on my dating life over the past year and here are some of the highlights.

I have had 3 different men send me unsolicited pictures of their penis.

I have dated....

• A guy who turned out to be a crazy stalker
• A man who didn’t know that grad school and med school were different, and therefore thought I was a doctor
• An ultra-conservative asshole who said “the problem is all those people on welfare who don’t work and spend my money on drugs and tattoos”  (for the record I'm a liberal Social Worker)
• A guy who told me, within the first 10 minutes of our first date, that he hadn't had sex in 3 years
• A man who asked if he could lick my feet before he even knew my last name
• A guy who yelled at me at a bar because I wasn't sure when I would be free again 

Not to mention, the shady guy I was "seeing" for a year

And..... Oh yeah, I slept with an ex-boyfriend. Twice.
